is a rather efficient and reliable website which provides up-to-date news
reports on the African continent. It offers a 'free' newsletter and is
organized into the following areas: community, news, photo gallery, research,
sports, health, travel, and related sites. The sites links are very useful.

Africast.Com
is a relative newcomer when compared with sites like Africa.com but it provides
a sleek and slick look that is pleasing to the eye. Its news is not organized
as tightly as Africa.com but this doesn't appear to be its sole calling
card. It seeks to offer other services such as teaching guides and multilingual
email services. The commercial aspects of this portal page are obvious
but this does not neglect the advantages that it offers by way of multimedia
clips. Particular gems in its treasury are the African Music Videos available
and the footage on the National Summit on Africa, which it offers. One
gets the sense that the site is designed mainly to provide popular entertainment
