December 2000 Sound clip:  This clip is an excerpt from Kwame Nkrumah's charge to the participants at the All-African People's Conference held in Ghana during December 1958.  Many of the future heads of states and other freedom fighters were in attendance.  The written text of the presentation can be found in Myer's text, which is cited in the "Work's Cited" section of this site.

January 2001 Sound clip:  This clip is an excerpt from Kwame Nkrumah's charge to the Heads of States at the founding meeting of the Organization of African Unity in Ethiopia, 25 May 1963.  The text of this speech can be found in Nkrumah's text, Revolutionary Path.  The spoken versions of Nkrumah's speeches were not grammatically exact as the written versions and, as you will be able to tell, are impacted by his proximity to the audience.  Nkrumah was a speaker that became one with his audience and therefore he would not mechanically stick to each word and punctuation of his prepared presentation.  He didn't, however, veer from his intended message.
